Tony Jolly, owner of ORA Cafe and the Crenshaw Coffee Co. is a longtime Leimert Park Village merchant and community leader whose work is rooted in the neighborhood’s creative economy and cultural enterprise. Recently profiled for his community-based business leadership, he attended the Summit as part of this ongoing exchange framework.

This engagement builds on Leimert Park Village Inc.’s inaugural international exchange launched in 2025 through collaboration around Paris 2024 and the City of Saint-Denis, France, establishing a long-term platform connecting culture, creative industries and inclusive economic development across continents.

As Los Angeles prepares to host the 2026 FIFA World Cup and the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games, Leimert Park Village, Inc. is advancing place-based international relationship-building anchored in the Historic South Los Angeles Black Cultural District.

The engagement was attended with formal letters of support from the Office of Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass and State Senator Lola Smallwood-Cuevas, recognizing Leimert Park Village and the Crenshaw Corridor as globally significant centers of artistic expression, entrepreneurship, and community-driven economic activity with enduring ties across Africa and the global African Diaspora.

Leimert Park Village Inc. will share additional outcomes from this engagement as the global exchange series continues across Africa, the Caribbean, Central and South America, and beyond.
